Bafang CAN Simulation StrategyLink

These settings allow you to fine-tune the motor behaviour without changing the actual motor parameters. Some motors may not perform correctly when using these settings.

Throttle limitedLink

This setting serves as a workaround for the cases where changing the Throttle limited setting on the main CAN Bafang settings page is ineffective or impossible. It causes the display to monitor pedaling cadence, and restricts max speed to 6 km/h when it detects no pedaling, even when using the throttle.

Power limitedLink

This setting locks the display's Road Mode to 5 levels, while allowing the Offroad to still reach level 9. This is useful in combination with the Assist level section on the main CAN Bafang settings page, to achieve different speed and power caps in the two modes at runtime.
